A nice 27.5 inch wiper my personal best, the fishes girth was the largest I have seen. No weight just a measurement and back in the water to grow some more. a lot of catfish being caught also but no crappie.

Would have to guess it put a big tug on the end of your rod. Go get a thirty incher.
