Them glitter-boat guys got nothing on me
I recently got on the lake for a few nights trying to find some crappie. I found out really quick I needed more lighting inside my boat to keep my stuff somewhat organized. Anybody who has fished out of my boat knows organization is way down my list of priorities. I had bought some of the LED strips to build some submersible lights and had some left over. I decided to try the LEDs in my tin boat. I have been seeing them in the glitter boats and they really seem to do the job. I wasn't looking for lighting to fish by, just to move around the boat and rig my gear.
Here's the result of my trial. All together, I have about $20 invested in this set-up and an hour or so labor to install a switch, wiring and stick the adhesive backed LED strip on. I put 1/2 of the strip on each side, one in front of the console and one on the opposite side in rear.
The pic of my wife was when we were getting the poles stored after sunset. The other is when I docked at the ramp.
