ILINK and Contour XD ?

If you have an Ilink hooked up to a HB compatible unit with Contour XD mapping, will the Ilink perform the follow the contour function based on the XD mapping, or do you need to have a Ilink approved/compatible mapping card for the follow the contour to work??

You will need a Lakemaster chip that supports the follow the contour feature.

Make sure the LakeMaster card you purchase has "iPilot Link" right on the card and the packaging ...

Some of the older cards do not ... And they are still floating around ...

OK, thanks for the clarification. I had read you needed a Ilink compatible card but the way the HB website reads, it almost makes you believe Ilink works with the Contour XD, or you want to believe that it will work with the Contour XD mapping. :biggrin

Contour XD does have contour lines for 3000 lakes ...but most likely not the lakes you fish ...

I don't think iLink would allow follow the contour on the built Contour XD anyway ... That's only for the LakeMaster cards ...
