Thread: how do you catch crappie on lake wateree this time of year?

Go read this thread for yourself DATED 5/21/2015 and judge for yourself. The post in question is on page 2 of the thread. Kit Carson is very helpful to people like me that are on disability and can barely afford to go fishing maybe 2 times a month if I'm very lucky, I'm not able to build brushpiles and for sure cannot afford the high dollar electronics to locate good brushpiles. He offered up some simple tips for the poorman that likes to also catch afew fish to help feed his family, but seems that afew of the wealther fishermen that have time, plenty of money to buy electronics and are able, to get out and create fish habitat referred to him as a LAZY FISHERMAN seems to me he is a smart fisherman and didn't mind sharing with others. He will be sorely missed by people like me that are on a very limited budget and unable to build fish habitat for all to enjoy!!!! This is my opinion. FAIR and Balanced!!!

I hate that Kit left, But I can understand both sides, There are lot of people on here, I've learned not to pay much attention to personal attacks, I've had my share but I still like the site and try to help when I can. I have put out plenty of brush, it is work! Kit should have just looked over it and kept on going. Now everybody can fuss at me for my 2 cents worth.:biggrin

Same can be said about the ones that chose to reply.... But it's a mute point I'm sure this thread will be deleted before the ink dries...

I took the time to read the post and can only say some people put there mouth in gear without reading the post. Kit said that a long time ago he has followed a few guides and fished there brush he does not do it now. Furthermore there is not a fisherman on crappie.com that hasn't fished somebody else's brush piles or followed guides and took note to where they are fishing if you say different then you are lying. When someone puts brush in a lake you do it for everyone fishing so they have the opportunity to catch some fish. Not all fishermen are physically able to put out brush. You can bet the farm that if I am fishing any lake in America and I come across a brush pile that is loaded with fish I am going to fish it I don't care who put in or who claims it once it goes in the water it becomes the property of the lake and not the person who put it in. MY TWO CENTS WORTH

No one ever asked Kit to leave the site, he picked to do that on his own but y'all are welcome to think as you want to. If a man is going to say his opinion than the next man has the rights to do the same.

I normally dont respond to post like this, but I did like reading what he had to say about fishing. I normally dont attack any one personally, but if some one starts something I will bounce back quick.

Kit said that a long time ago he has watched guides fishing and later fished there brush that was when he was jumped on about being a lazy fisherman.

If y'all will go back and read what I wrote you will see I didn't attack Kit, I just made a statement about what I felt about what was said. As far as I know I have always tried to be helpful here on CDC but that can end tonight.

A lot of people has picked to leave the sight and not post much so maybe we ought to to a little careful about we say to people and if you can't say something nice keep your opionions to yourself. This is not a site to criticize some one else's fishing technique
