Ernest posted on another forum that he sold his boat to a guy in Broken Arrow. I'm curious who the lucky guy is? I know Ernest and know his boat....it's a great boat and he offered it at a good price! Congratulations to the lucky new owner!

c2 i think
C2 is correct!
Cē - You have bought a fishing machine. Mr. Paty is a Crappie legend. I'm sure all you will have to do is start the motor and put it in cruise control and prepare to drag in the fish. Ernest has caught so many fish his boat should be able to do it by memory! Congratulations!

X3, dang it:highfive
Thanks guys. I am picking up Mr. Paty's boat in the morning hopefully and really looking forward to meeting him. Guess I should feel at least a little embarrassed for not knowing who he was prior to getting on the Texas Fishing Forum and reading the pages of accolades and thanks dedicated to this legend! I asked him to throw in a fishing lesson with the deal and he declined for now, saying he is suffering from the same ailment I have-Dinks Disease due to high water. Got my fingers crossed that some of Mr. Paty's karma remains with his Lund once it crosses the Red River- I can use the help!
My son and I hired Ernest right after he got your boat. At the time, he lived on Cedar Creek Lake, as did Guy Skinner. I was still working at the time but, had a place on CCL that I retired to a few years later. Most, if not all of his videos were filmed on CCL.
He has been nominated several times for the Texas Hall of Fame for not only his knowledge and skills with crappie but, as a great humanitarian as well. But, it seems if you don't fish for LMB's you don't have a chance! He definately deserves it.
I sure enjoyed his videos. It would be a pleasure to be in the same boat as him.
