Lake Conway Fruit Jar, August 29th

We will be having a tournament at Lake Conway on Saturday, August 29. This is not a club tournament, and no membership is needed to fish. Just show up at Hi-Way Landing between 5:45 and 6:15a.m., pay your entry fee and go fishing! Tournament hours will be be between 7am. and 3:30pm. We will begin weighing at 4:30, so please be in line by this time.

Entry fees will be $60 per boat. Since Conway is known for being pretty tough in the Summer, but capable of producing the occasional thumper, I thought it would be cool to do the big fish payout a little differently. $10 will come out of the entry fee for the biggest White Crappie, and $10 for biggest Black Crappie. Every team gets two chances at big fish!

It is a slow bite folks, but there are some good ones to be caught if you work for it. It should be an interesting tournament!!

Sounds like a good time on Old Stumpy. I bet there will be some stiff competition out there.

If the tournament creel limit is one I'd have a shot. That seems to be the norm for me but I'm having fun anyway.

You'll have plenty of competition Joe. Lots of people planning to fish. Me and Lamar will definitely be there to donate a few bucks!

The lake is getting a little low. Stumps in the trails that weren't an issue last week. Be mindful of this if you plan to get out there.
