Pomme question...

I haven't seen a report from Pomme in a while, has anyone been on that lake lately? Also,I have kind of a weird question; How is the cell service around that lake and on the water?

I was thinking about going there, but I'm on call this weekend and have to be reachable by phone. No big deal if I'm 20 min from my computer as long as I can take a call and log in shortly thereafter. I have even been known to use the hotspot on my phone and work from my boat when I'm out fishing. I know LOZ has service pretty much everywhere, but I avoid LOZ between March and Oct. when I can.

The lake is still up 13 feet, however down from its high of 21 feet earlier this month. Fish are hard to find. Regarding cell service, deep in the coves you won't get much service, but in the middle of the lake you should. Depends on the provider. ATT & Verison seem ok. Good luck.

Thanks. I should have checked on the lake level, I had no idea it would still be up that high. I've never fished that lake. Hunted ducks there a couple of times, but never fished. I haven't had a lot of opportunity to crappie fish this year. I was going to do a overnight kayak fishing trip this weekend, but since I'm on call, I have to be in cell range and that river isn't covered as well as it needs to be for me to do that so I thought I'd give that tough summer crappie bite a lash on some new (to me) water. I guess maybe not Pomme this weekend since the water is that high.
