Lake Wateree Stripers
Hey guys, just thought I would drop a note and let you know the striper are schooling in the mornings at wateree. They seemed to be most consistent just below clear water cove at the second cove on the left heading towards the damn. On the morning of the 17th we got lucky due to clouds and they started schooling from one side of the lake to the other all at one time. I've personally never seen that large of a schooling on Wateree. We chased them for a couple of hours and managed to pull a few out with the largest being about 24 inches.
The other mornings we were able to go, they still came up, but were in smaller schools and smaller fish. Sorry no pictures

Glad you had good luck with the Stripers. We went to Murray for them this morning with no luck. We fished live herring down about 25 FOW is several areas that had held them recently, but they were nowhere to be found. Lake was dead calm, but we saw no schooling on top at all.
We did manage about a dozen or more large white perch and a nice flathead cat, but that was it for us.
Thanks for the update.
