Central Illinois Crappie Club Fall Schedule
We held our executive committee meeting last night and covered a lot of bases. Here is a general rundown of the meeting and for further information or to have some input on these issues please attend our next meeting on Sunday August 16 at 1 pm.
1.) Kids event is rescheduled for Sunday October 11th in Wyman Park Sullivan, Illinois. Andy Roberts is taking the lead on this event and will get us more details as they come.
2.) We discussed the need for a fund raiser to help build up funds for equipment needs in the future. We did decide on a gun raffle to give away an ar15. John Gehrken is taking the lead on this event more details to follow.
3.) Tournament dates are set:
Saturday September 26th lake to be decided by the members at the August 16 meeting.
Saturday October 10th lake Shelbyville no entry fee fishing for prizes and offering membership for remainder of the year of $15.
Sunday November 1st Lake to be decided by the members at the August 16th meeting.
Sunday November 15th Shelbyville.
4.) The meeting in August 16 will also have a seminar. It will be open to all members and any member is welcome to present. Topics will include jig tying, spinner tying, spider rigging and more. Chilli will be donated by John Gehrken and the club will furnish bottled water. We plan on eating and presenting the seminar first and loosely assigning an hour and a half. Following the presentation we will be holding the meeting to pick the final 2 lakes and discuss any other topics.
