I am considering this unit for a new boat. Any first hand pros or cons would be most welcome. Thanks in advance. Rusty

The Garmin Echomap 93sv has been a top selling unit for the last several months. It's a great value in a 9 inch screen. The only negative I've heard is the mapping. The preloaded maps are very good in most areas but in others, the detail may not be what you need. I would recommend checking your local lakes and see what the coverage looks like since Garmin units cannot run other mapping programs like Navionics. Here is a link to the check the lakes in your area.>Search Garmin LakeVü Lakes
By the way, the $100 rebate will apply no matter which dealer you buy from. It's not just a Bass Pro thing.

Pretty much an excellent choice for SI , DI and 2D. But it is limited in other areas no chirp capabilities and very limited networking. If these things aren't important to you its hard to beat the bang for buck you would be getting.
By the way Brian at BBG is a first rate choice for when you are ready to buy.
Thanks for the info Brian. PM sent
X2 on dealing with Brian. You won't regret dealing with him, especialy if you have a question or problem.
As the others said Brian is top notch and knows his products. Buy from BPS and good luck when you have a question
I have purchased several items from Brian and plan on many more in the future.
x2 on everything Brian said. I got my 93sv from him and it produces some very nice pictures. I wanted to say I've tried all 3 brands over the years, but for me I have to sell it because of the mapping for my area, lack of and inaccurate in some instances. No third party mapping allowed and they don't currently sell a product for you to create your own (ie Sonar Charts, Auto Charts, etc). Overall, a very good product and I would recommend it if it has your lakes in HD, just not suited for me.
Hehe, fair enough, but I can afford to test anymore...gotta go back to what I know lol
