Just got a new fuel line and filter. Noticed there are no hose clamps and wonder if this is a new style line or they just left them off. Don't want a fuel or air leak.

I have always used small hose clamps myself and have seen zip ties used, but I would not trust zip ties either. I don't know if I would trust the gas lines without the small hose clamps.:twocents
My mechanic uses zip ties, haven't had a problem in 5 years of hard use!!
I always use small hose clamps .......they say its not needed on these new hose barbs and hoses but....I am old school, I like clamps.
Very good idea marking the date on that filter. I'm like G, like hose clamps.
be careful with the clamps so you dont cut hose. If zip ties are used they are a special zip tie, not the ones for wires
Like Bassin said, the ties are special and they are wider than regular zip tie. If you chose to run clamps make sure you get ones designed for silicone hose. They will have a flat stainless band inside the screw clamp. Normal clamps will eat right into that outside silicone lining and will not stay tight.
