October and November should be good, it usually shuts down early December and gets extremely difficult till the end of February. Most the folks that fish Grenada these times of the year are out of state folks, won't hardly see a local truck at the ramp if you even see a truck at the ramps.
Good luck and safe travels.
no doubt,October and November would be the best time to be on Grenada. just be carefull where your going due to falling water there are some high places out there that start showing up around this time of year.
When do they start drawing the lake down and when does it get stable around that time I know depending on Weather but in general , that time of year I heard the Skuna River side is better fishin ... And what ramps r usually up that time year ... We always put in a south greys or the next concrete ramp up toward Hugh White on south side
Draw done starts Aug 1. When she gets below 204 I only use Wolf creek, Choctaw, and the main landing. Below 200 and she starts to get dicey.

Not really into the crank baiting yet working on gettin set up for it that y I wanna wair till that single pole or spider riggin gets right...do minnows out do jigs that time of year down there or it bout even ...
October, November minnows Big.MINNOWS !!!!
As far as which river I think that answer is very dependent on who you ask. Has more to do with where you are most comfortable and confident, fished this lake over 25 years before I even fished the Yalobusha side and now its go to at certain water levels and times of the year. Scuna side is easier to navigate as the water starts to fall for sure, just stay on the East bank, good map card in your GPS is one heck of a tool as well.
Lake is very large right now but they are pulling a couple inches a day off of her and should be at summer pool in 3 or 4 weeks which will put it behind as far as draw down, hopefully they will let her rip the first of August and put some good current in her, will turn it on for sure. Lot of fish to be caught before October gets here!!!!:biggrin
