This is the message that kissfan4 posted on the Ohio Board....

"OK, so as if my family hasn't had enough, first my father was diagnosed with cancer, fought for a while and eventually loss the battle. Then last year, just a year after my father passed, my older brother was diagnosed with cancer, they say they got it all, but he now lives with a colostomy bag. And now my wife, age 30, found a lump and we found out today she has stage 4 skin cancer which has spread to the breast, lymph nodes, and digestive tract. Still have to make an appointment with the oncologist to see what the next step is. I have to admit i was raised catholic, and went to church every Sunday until i graduated high school, but at this point i really find it hard to believe in anything i was taught to believe. I know everyone says think positive and pray, but so far that has not gotten me anywhere. I hate the thought of it, but i can not help but think i am going to be raising our daughters alone, and trying to explain to them "why".... "

Footprints Prayer

Footprints in the Sand

One night I had a dream...
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand;
One belonged to me, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before us,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
There was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in my life
This really bothered me, and I questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
You would walk with me all the way;
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,
There is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why in times when I
needed you the most, you should leave me.
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious
child. I love you, and I would never,
never leave you during your times of
trial and suffering.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."
