That had to be a great time with a fly rod. Were the fish up shallow? I need to try a few with the skin on next trip. Do the fillets tend to roll when fried?

Boy Howdey. I need to learn to fish with a fly rod.

THEY WERE ABOUT 5-6 FT. DEEP . WAS USING A 6 FT. LEADER WITH A BLACK GNAT .

THEY WILL CURL ON YOU BUT THE SKIN TASTE GREAT . I USUALLY TAKE 30 OR LESS HOME . BY THE TIME YOU SCALE AND TAKE HEADS/GUT THEN TO FILLET THEM IS DOUBLE WORK . LOL GLAD I HAVE TO MOW TOMORROW !

I cut them in strips top to bottom , curl taste good . lol .

People really don't realize that hooking a nice bream like those in the pictures on a flyrod is like fighting a world record tarpon, marlin, are any of the big game species. This is the best moment of a persons that loves the fly rod lives for. Great pictures and I know a great moment.
