Wylie 7/6/2015 Perch Jerk

Well wife and did a perch Jerk. This is the first time using exclusively Sabiki rigs and I like them. Put one minnow one and the rest bare hooks. Perch they are like the Honeybadger, they don't care. Drop the line ay 7:30 and by 9:30 they quit. I just could not find any more schools after 10:00. Went deep and tried 3 other spots. No more fish. Filet 76 perch. Most small but still fun and have more meat for family reunion. It was fun catching 3 or 4 at a time with one minnow.

O yea have to edit to add this. Wife was catching from the first drop of a line. Since I bait and take fish off well you see getting my pole in water can be a task. So I got a minnow on my Sabiki and toss it over to go in water. One problem I forgot to hook the Sabiki to my fishing pole. I just watch it sink and wife had a great laugh. I said go ahead and call me an idiot. Seems like I did that before.

CK, I know why they stopped biting. You caught them all. That's a nice mess of fish you caught. Glad you and your wife got on some fish. That Sabiki Rig is fun. Hope you get into them again.

That rig works! We had about 30 in the boat in 20 minutes this morning.

Nice haul CK.That sounds like the excitement got to ya and you forgot to tie the line!!It takes a good man to admit that kind of stuff.Thanks for the report and pics.

Keep the perch kill'n going in full force. Nice day on the water with some fine results to boot. Congrats to you and the Mrs. for putting the smack down on those perch fish.

Wonder how many perch swimming around attached to each other on the rig CK threw overboard? Least it wasn't his net this time.
