SC river report.
Had a good day. Tyler and myself decided to head to the SC river with a family friend who had been skunked on fishing so far this year. Warm weather with sun and clouds. Anything tipped with a minnow was producing, with gold being best in 15 feet of water. As soon as the cloud cover came in they stopped feeding.
Kept 32 12-14" and a 24.5" pike who bit too aggressively.

Nice catch guys. Keep the pics coming

Great job guys.
Just an FYI. A master angler White bass is 16 inches. All you need is a photo of the fish on a fishboard (or tape measure). You can now do it online through the DNR master angler program. We just started doing it a year or so ago and it is a ton of fun.
They allow one master angler per species per person per year. They send you a certificate, master angler patch, and a print out of the past years fish entries. White bass are a blast to catch when you target them (not so much fun when you are walleye fishing though).

Sweet pics and report! Looks like a great day on the water!

Thanks for the heads up Wick, I have been interested in entering that program for a while. My brother and I will be headed out again this sunday. Still deciding on where to go fishing though. As a fall back we will be heading back to the SC River.

No problem. Hope you get one to show off! So far, we only have one for the year (walleye). Measured a cat fish the other day that was 1/4 of an inch short (28 3/4 inches). Last weekend I had a white bass that was 1/2 inches too short. Story of my life I guess sometimes!
I'm not fishing for those species but it is always fun to see how one stacks up when you catch them.
