Some Underwater Screen Shots from Harris
Took a number of screen shots the past two days on Harris and thought some of you might be interested in seeing some of them.
Need help with this one. Any idea if those are beds in that old stream bed? And if so, what kind of fish would bed in 18' water? By the way, notice there are some nice fish in the upper left corner of the picture. That should be a flat just off the channel and would be a good place to fish. We pre-fished this place, but found better numbers of crappie in other places.

You will not believe where this shot was taken. I was coming in to let Charles off at the Crosspoint Boat ramp and this is what I saw. You could throw a rod off the dock and catch these fish. With all the white perch in Harris, this could be shad on the top and perch below.

This is another shot of the same fish. This shot was important, because it told us the "strike zone" in which we knew we had to fish on Saturday.

Somebody put a crappie condo in a cove and we lost several hooks in it. We did use the Spot Lock feature to fish this brushpile yesterday, but only found little ones.

This was taken in cove yesterday in which we caught almost 150 fish. It is full of perch and crappie between 5"-10". We were hoping there would be some big ones hanging out in this area as well, but we were not able to catch them. It is always a good sign when you see a bottom with this many fish.

Same cove, but a different crappie condo. This was taken later in the morning and told me the fish had moved. At daybreak, the fish were primarily in 12'-13' of water. In the SI shot in this picture, darker is deeper and you can see they have moved out deeper. This is one of my favorite methods to find fish. The SI lets me see away from the boat, but the 2D and DI help me under the boat.

This shot is taken from Jordan Lake a week ago. Charles purchased the I-Pilot link back earlier this year, but because of the tournament schedule, we did not have a chance to get it working. In this shot, we have the Follow the Contour feature turned on. The gray line (11' deep contour) is the track we were following. I'm posting this to help some of you find fish in your favorite lake. As you can see, crappie love flats. Up on the shallower flat and the deeper flat are good numbers of fish. If we had been seriously fishing, we would select a track that was either on the upper or lower flat, not the drop-off. Hope this helps some as you try to locate summer fish.
