The problem started this past Sunday. Whenever I held the zoom in button and let the screen zoom continuously, the sucker would shut down. I could increment zoom in, and it worked ok. I tried a soft reset several times ,but no help.
I finally did a master reset, and, walla, it works fine. Musta been something the HDS had for lunch.
Just in casy anyone has this situation, you can bail out. Backup data before master reset. Master reset does a good bowel cleaning.
Good to know I am sure I will have issues soon too, getting ready to mortage the house for a 7" and a 9"HDS gen 2 touch, I do have a question that You or someone else may be able to answer. I am planning on using a eithernet cable to connect the 2 units and am wondering if I can run both units off of 1 Structure scan transducer? also I currently have a 2d ducer on the transum and another built into My XI5 TM.
Since they are touch model, yes you can.
Corrupt waypoints cause some funky things sometimes on the birds ..... maybe you had something like that going on.
