After reading your input on stabgnids work, is there anyway to show how you tie in the hackle to make it always lay curved down when using the tips of hackle? When I tie the hackle on, its hard for me to keep it with that curved down look. I have gotten to where I will use Vs and not both if you know what I mean.
Skip has a great video on this it helped me a lot. I'm sure he will post it for you.

These were made just trying out the camera so were never meant to be shown as I wanted to make a better longer one, but just have not yet.

Howdy Homer, You will notice that on each hackle, it has a shiny side and a dull side. If you're tying in the tip of the hackle first, you can pull a few of the barbs back out of the way and tie down on nothing but the main stem of the feather. Then when you start to wrap your hackle on, keep the shiny side of the hackle facing forward. The barbs on your hackle will flare out nicely and keep their slight curve pointing back a bit.
