I would think it is ambient air temperature and water temperature.
Water temp in that picture is 85.3. Can't read air temp unless transducer is in the air. Could just be a range triggered from the actual temp ? Put it on the electronics forum.
That is on the birds I am pretty sure, temp graph under sonar menu I think! One of the smart guys will be along shortly and clarify.
It is a temp graph. The line is horizontal if temp is stable. But say you start off fishing in an area and the water temp is 75 and you go to another area and its 80. The line will become angled up. The line is representing a "trend" of water temp. Or average if you will. If temp increases the line will angle up. If it decreases then it angles down. Its all water surface temp. Nothing to do with air temp.
The temp gauge starts at power up ...
The 1st temp the probe senses is the center line ...and then the graph is dictated as 10° above and 10° below that initial temp that was sensed at power up ...
Like LP mentioned .. It gives you a trend of the water surface temp (compared to that initial water surface temp at power up) ...

Yep, the numbers it shows are representing a temperature range and the line represents the water temp. As stated before, the line fluctuates up and down with the water temp.
