Whole mess of bass. Lots of Warmouths.
The main pole was a B&M Sam Heaton rod, what's left of a Mr Crappie Solo reel 6lb test, some little stinger jigs. Pink and chartreuse.
The secondary pole was a Ugly Stik ultra light 4'8", Shakespeare reel 4lb test, with curly tail green and red jig
The third pole was a Zebco Micro ultra light 5', with el cheapo Shakespeare reel 6lb test, clear stinger with purple sparkles.
All jigs were tipped with Berkley Cappie Nibbles in either white or yellow.
Fished anywhere from 4' of water to 20' of water. Depth didn't seem to make a difference. Fish were biting everywhere.
Water temp was warm. I didn't have a thermometer, but I'd call it bath water warm.
Nice report Al. Where did you go?
Half moon lake. On the Muskegon/Newago county line. It's a deep lake, no real ledges or drops to be found. Slopes down real sharp. Casting out and working it back up the slope did well.
Theres an old rail road bridge through the middle. Good cover usually. This year it seems to be all weeded in. Kind of a bummer because that was the hot spot in years past.
Get any rainbows out of there
Nice post and great pix Al.
