Went fishing at night three nights in a row . Caught 3 the first night on shiners 10 foot deep in 20 feet of water. Thunderstorms ran us in the second night. Tried some other spots in the lake. Caught two the last night. It was pretty slow. Caught a few bream during the day but couldn't figure out the crappie. Better luck next time.

I go there often due to camping. I really only do well in March and October. I fished some kind of hump last weekend and lost one at the boat. No other bites. I really have no idea on these CENLA impoundments after march and before October.
That lake has a old channel that passes through it. Was told by game warden it was a old bridge. And there is still some pilings down there. There is also a lot of brush piles. That's the only way I ever caught them
I always wanted to fish it at night. I even made a homemade LED light to do so, but I never did try it yet. I also heard about that bridge , but I never found it.

We hang a light in the water off the bow of the boat. The water turns into a large circle of moving shad. We set up six rods that hang in the dark outer circle. I works pretty good usually. Every now and then a gar fish will come in and cause trouble. The best part about having the light hanging off the boat is that if you troll to a new spot the shad follow .
Indian is dead to me. Fished it hard a couple of years ago and didn't do well. When a bad day at Larto is 20, I'll stick with that.
