I am still tinkering with the boat trying to get it like I want it, but I decided to hit Murray for a couple of early hours this morning. I was greeted with this sunrise as I ran across the lake.

I wanted to try for some bream on my ultralight and a 1/32 Rooster Tail and I caught several first thing out while it was a little cool.(Water temp was 82)

I got maybe 5 or 6 like this and then it slowed so I hit a couple of the points that I caught Shellcrackers on last week and they had left the premises. Did not get a bite using baby night crawlers in the 30 minutes I allotted to finding any.
So I ran toward the back of the creek and put out 4 rods to troll back to the mouth of the creek and head out.

As you can see, the water was flat and the heat had started to rise. Water temp was up to 85 now. I put on 4 of the small crankbaits in different colors to see what I could scare up from the middle of the creek. Right off Mr. White Perch about 6" hit one of the plugs. Don't know what he thought he was going to do with it, except maybe mate with it, cause there is no way he could have gotten it in his mouth.
A few minutes later I got a hit on one of my lighter rods and it bent double. When I reeled it in, it was a decent, but average size, blue gill. It is a good thing they don't get very large because if it had hit the lure any harder he would have broken the rod. This stupid phone camera makes it hard to see what you have framed but I wanted to show how pretty the colors were on him, unfortunately all I got was a picture of my foot.
By now the sun was up and it was really starting to get hot so I headed in. Did not keep any, just wanted to log some more time in the boat.
