[Crappie Kidd bought a new net. Also it floats.

Wife and I went fishing this morning. Got the jigs wet at 7:30 and fished Torrance and around the Island In the North Carolina side. Slow at first then the last 90 minutes fished around the backside of the Island at Torrance. Finished at 11:00. Tore up some small perch. They were schooled up back there. The last kitty broke my net. :hatchet:That is why I just bought a new net. Caught just a handful of crappie 3 kitties 1 green carp and a bunch of small perch. Saw fish all around 18 to 20 feet. Only saw significant bait behind Island. 1/8th jigs all colors except black .5mph trying to get jigs about 15 to 18 feet.

Hey brettw , We gonna have a bet on this one floatin ? Them perch was there Thursday also. Did manage a few crappie over in that 40 ft hole near Tega Cay dock. Minners down deep. is only way I could find em CK.

Glad you and the Mrs. caught some fish. Sounds like a pretty good day well, until that net broke. I do like your new one though. Looks like a top-of-the-line net to me. Congrats.:)

I know one thing, if I paid that much for a net and it went overboard, I am going over after it. (or maybe I could get Unk Remus to go):Rofl

I chose this net for the long reach and rubber net. I have been loosing fish coming back to the boat when they hit surface. I hope to net the fish before it gets to the boat. Try to time the net when they hit the surface. We shall see how that works. Before I test the net to see if it floats i will have a rope attached to it. :biggrin:Rofl
