Caught several red ear in my brothers farm pond, but caught two of theses fish that look like a cross between a crappie and a red ear. Notice the scale pattern and the body, mouth is rather big for a red ear.
i could be wrong but they look like a cross species fish !

Its a Centrarchus macropterus. We call them fliers down here.

I should have counted the dorsal fin but didn't :( there were several things fishy about that these fish lol
1. The color along the belly was yellowish like a bluegill or red ear
2 the eyes were multicolored
3 scale pattern was just like a crappie
4 mouth was big for a redear or gill
5 length was long for a redear or gill
