Pretty cool tie. Would never thought of using something like that.
I like the looks of it as a wing case. I think I and going to use some of the flash body material I used on the last one as a body under the wing case. Maybe used a little yarn under the body material to add some bulk to the body. The flash material should shine through the wing case.
Looking good. I think your wing color makes that jig pop, nice work.
Nice stuff there Jack.
A couple more versions. The top one is clear silver holo goiter powder paint, Mirage eyes, gray maribou, red crystal flash
Second white deer body hair, a few stands of Gray buck tail, flash chennile to give a little flash under the wing case.
The chennile and the and accent hair in the tail should be red. Somehow the camera picked it up as orange.
Looks Red to me Jack! Nice ties. I just rescued some material before my wife threw it in the trash can. We had some tacos last week, the one were you use a soft and a hard shell together. Anyway the flour tortillas came in this silver package bag like thing so after it was cut open there is a lot of flashy Silver to use on something like this. Just have not had time to mess with it yet because too much to tie for others right now.

Nice work jack.
The red and white one was hot today. Shoot a few dock and came up with 5 bass under a pound. Hit a tree top between docks. Pulled out a nice bluegill. Then something grabbed it that I couldn't turn. I stayed with it for 15 minutes. Just a hard steady pull that I couldn't turn at all. Finally wrapped me around something and broke me off. I am thinking big cat but I will never know. So more red and white ones are on the list as well as one with pink, chartreuse, white and some dark gray in the tail. Hopefully it will resemble a threadfin shad.
