Quality people
This past weekend I traded small outboards with a gentleman who advertised on craigslist. If you have ever bought or sold anything on CL you know that you never know what kind of people you may encounter.
So thru the week we texted back and forth of what he had and what I have. Saturday I had a few hours and took my little outboard to his house. He had the motor I was interested in setup over the barrel. Ended up we traded straight across. While I was there his Son came out and said, " I'm going to the library". I said, " What kid goes to the library these days". That's when he started telling me a few things about his Son Dalton.
Below is a link from channel 3 out of Memphis that did a report on this very special young man.

On a side note I was having trouble getting my 'new motor' started this evening and called the man I traded with to see if there was something I was doing wrong or not doing right. He hopped in his car and drove from Hernando to Olive Branch. He tinkered with it and I believe the thing that made it purr was an adjustment to the air. He was there better than an hour and wouldn't even take gas money from me.
Seems like quality children come from quality parents. Go figure.
