According to where you are fishing at. I'm normally in the tributaries of the Ohio river and it's a 30 crappie limit with no size restrictions. Wish they would make it 10 inches.
Unfortunately, here in MA, there is no catch or size limit on crappie, or any other panfish. My partner & I practice CPR on all species, but I'm still worried about our panfish population - crappie in particular - due to the very short growing season. It may take 8 years or more for a crappie to even come close to the 2 pound mark, if it can survive that long. Not having any limits can jeopardize a fishery in no time, especially if the fishermen are not individually responsible. A serious concern of mine.
Ga is 30 crappie with no length limits. Florida is 25 crappie with special lengths on certain waters. Both states allow 50 bream with Florida having special regulations for length and creel on a couple waters.
In MO it's 15 crappie 9" length state wide unless posted, then it is typically 30 with no length limit.
Most of La. 50 no size limit
No size or quantity limit here in Connecticut for panfish, includes crappie, all sunfish species, perch and brown bullhead.
