Just wondering. Anyone fish the river say between the Alabama power steam plant and Logan Martin dam? I know that's a long stretch of water but I have access to several boat launches in the area. I mainly run jugs for catfish on the river but early spring I always fish the creeks for crappie and do decent. Anyone fish the river year round for crappie? If so what method and what parts creeks ,sloughs, main channel, depths etc...
Anyone fish lay lake?? Below Logan Martin dam? Bownet creek????
I fish it time to time for green carp when the water is running. Never tried to crappie fish outside of Fall/Winter months. Always found it to be a finicky stretch of water. Feast or famine, mostly the latter
Yeah I normally crappie fish the river spring/fall too. Looking for a little advice on summer crappie fishing on the river. It's a little closer than Logan Martin and Logan Martin is turning into an ocean with all the boaters. May just run some jugs tonight and catch some flatheads.
