REPORT: Chickamauga Reservoir 5-29-15
Ricky Watt aka Rickylovetofish, went with me this morning. We fished just about 1 hour longer than I did yesterday AM. We did about the same as yesterday's trip, except we caught most fish on off shore structure. We did some scouting and found another new spot on the main river breakline. A huge stump with fish nearby. We talked a couple into hitting. If I would just learn to use a dip net, our creel would be a little bit larger. I had 3 pull off as I was trying to lift them into the boat with the rod. It was a pleasant day with very little wind. Current flow started at 6000+ cfs and increased to over 12,000 CFS by the time we stopped fishing.
The surprise today was a small Walleye that tried to eat one of our jigs. It must be from the stocking of Chickamauga lake last year. It will be keeper sized next year.
