LaSalle and Catahoula Parish road closures
Figured that was coming Bruce with the Red River rising. Unbelievable about Lake Texoma on the Red River. 100,000 cfs and still 4 feet over the spillway, a record. I remember crossing the river, looked like a desert with a small stream. Can't imagine seeing it over the banks. Shreveport/Bossier City will see it soon. Another week, Saline Larto it's there.
Hope you've tended to business at your camp. And, I hope all is well with you with this hiccup in the business that we're in. Thanks for posting.
I crossed the Red River yesterday on my way to Bossier City and it looks mean. It's as red as I've ever seen it and the current is rolling so fast it has white caps. Son in law said people are fishing right up against the levees every day from the banks. I guess the fish have moved into the shallows amongst the tree and brush to get away for the current.

We heard from a friend of ours this morning who lives in East Texas that all bridges crossing into Oklahoma are closed now except for I-35 north of Dallas. Unbelievable, with more hard rain coming today.
Yes Randy I was off for a couple of months, but back at it now. The wife and I really enjoyed the time off though. I will be out of here next week, then make a mad dash to Larto and start moving stuff to high ground. I knew it was coming, just wasn't figuring it would be as bad as it is, but this too shall pass. The good Lord never gives you more than you can handle.
I was out today after a substantial thunderstorm which ruined my morning and took a few pictures of the Red at Shreveport. People were lined along the new banks and fishing over what was the walking and bike path. We stopped and talked to a few of them but no one was catching today. A couple of days ago some of them went home with as high as 300 cats and a limit of bass. The predictions are for at least 3 more feet of water next week.

Bad news, Larto is up over 42 and rising. Good news, when it drops back under 40 it will be on
