Smithville Gives Up a Few
Even tho the lake has come up nearly to the parking lot at Little Platte, I was able to find a few fish that were willing to eat a jig. Found an area that is normally 1-2' deep, and now 5' with a break line. They were hanging close the break, but out on the flat. Not sure if they are still trying to spawn, but the males all still had their color, but females were either emptied out, or the eggs looked pretty bad. Lots of small fish, but managed to get 1/2 dozen good eaters.
Attachment 204346Looks like the corps is still holding water until they absolutely have to release it. Might still be a while before the Missouri drops enough.
