A Nice Day
My wife and son are at a church youth rally all day - so it was just me and my baby girl (8 years old). Slow bite today and we only caught nine in four hours, but they were nine good ones. She caught two and then got bored and asked me to teach her how to cast my spinning rod. I showed her how and on her first cast with it she caught a third. I was proud as she caught them all with no help from me except to let her know her bobber disappeared while she was watching a boat go by. Great weather, great daughter, and what should be a great family meal come Monday. Might of had a better day with crickets, but she insisted that wax worms were not as disgusting as crickets or red worms and, sure enough, she baited her own hook all day.

LOL, my GD will bait with worms but won't touch a cricket. I would have thought the opposite. Got one Shell Cracker in the mix too. That is some fine eating and I know she is ready to go again, but you better buy yourself a new spinning rod, because that one is her rod now.

Nah. Hers will need to be purple or some girly color.

Well, head to Wally World then. You got a fishing partner for sure and a good one too. My favorite is my 16 year old Granddaughter and hers is purple, but it is a decent spinning outfit. She took to it when she was 7 instead of a spin cast that I tried to give her.
