Panasoffkee Lake
No clue how its really spelled, but the inlaws have a place down there, and I'm being drug down there the first week of June. I'm gonna rent me a boat I reckon, and gonna try and single pole some "specks" while I'm there. Any help would be appreciated, it'll be my first time there, and more than likely my last. Hoping to see a gator or two while I'm there. (Never seen one in the wild at all). If anybody is gonna be down there and needs somebody to fill a seat, holler at me!!!!!

Should be excellent shell cracker and bluegill bite then. Top water for largemouth too. Crappie can be hit or miss, but I would use a 1/32 or 1/16 roadrunner. They are areas where the trees overhang into lake that crappie stage around. The canals also can be good dependent on lake levels. It's a good lake and you will see a gator without a doubt.

Panasoffkee has a lot of grass in the middle of it. The west shore/developed side was dredged several years ago so should be free of grass. Your best bet is trying the bluegill/shell cracker bite but since you are there, they the specks. Look in the clear areas and look for beds within some of the grass. Panavista Lodge, Tracy Point and Where-In-The-Hell-Am-I are the three fish camps there. Good fishing!
