They make spring load mounts, Jared (Jigging15) has one on his boat, he might post a picture of it. :)
If interested I believe it's called a Stumpjumper, made in mid - Missouri
Tommy is right they are called stumpjumpers Jared has one on his boat.
Look at this link........
Crappie Town LLC - Stump Jumper Series
I think that stumpjumper is one awesome transducer saver! I don't have one personally so for another option:
Transducer Shield and Saver - See More Fish, Catch More Fish! - Spring Back Bracket
This is what i have used. Saved it on my 3rd trip out! Doesn't matter what manufacturer you go with just get something! I think everyone should have something like these installed. just go look at the cost of replacement transducer and you'll see either of these are money well spent!
The Stump Jumper will save you lots of money from replacing Ducers. Jackie that makes them tore up 3 in one season so he came up with the stump jumper and has been making them for a couple years now. I have the old style on my Ranger and have heard it smack back down several times after coming across stumps. So I know it has saved me several hundred dollars and possibly a grand. I need to take mine down and why the new version out on. Just have not had the time.
