I have an elite 7 hdi and a Gen 1 hds 5.I have a question about the nema connection. They are different on hdi have wires and hds has port on the back does anyone know what I need to do to get them synced up and what do I need for GPS to work on hds? I appreciate any input.thanks again
Don't know about hooking them together but on HDS it should have internal antenna so should already have GPS.
Both should have a NMEA 2000 connector on the back. You can connect those together by building a NMEA network with a T at each device, A power node, a cable connecting the Ts and terminators at the ends. Easiest way to go is to buy a NMEA starter kit.
