Will this work? Has anyone tried this?

:dono a suggestion was mentioned that one could construct a test target for evaluation of the performance of a SONAR by using ping pong balls wrapped in panty hose and held down with a weight. Such a target would simulate a fish's swim bladder. Would this work and has anyone tried this with sonar? It would be good if it did work to practice with my sonar units or testing a sonar unit. If it does work I would make me a test spot in the lake just to check things out. Never know what is fact or fiction anymore that's the reason I am asking on this forum because it is #1 on sonar. Let me know what you all think. Thanks for any information.
