Echopmap 70S 650.00
I know this is going to be a hard sale because of the dominance of Lowrance and Humminbird in the freshwater market. For those who may not know Garmin has decided to go big in the freshwater market like they did with the saltwater .
This Echomap 70S was discontinued by Garmin but is still supported by software upgrades. Its upgrade routes are virtually unlimited. It will support CHIRP and side view and down view if a GCV 10 network box is installed.
It will also support the panoptix transducers which is the latest and greatest . The newer 93 and 73 will not support the panoptix.
This unit had the LakeVu built in software that covers the entire United States. It comes with a trolling motor mount for regular 2D dual frequency. I bought this before they were discounted. They originally listed for 1190 or so. They are priced now at 599.00 but the trouble is there aren't any to be had. Sellers on Ebay are listing them for over 800. The 70S Echo map is a touch screen 7 inch display. It will display motor info if NEMA2000 is used on a fuel-injected outboard. It will even support radar.
The GCV box I mentioned is 499.00 thru Basspro. It will enable Chirp and Sidevu and Downvu via a network cable. The transducer is included with it in the GCV 10 package.
The Panoptix is an even more expensive upgrade a 1499.00 investment.
I used the 70S to determine if I wanted to go Garmin. My old eyes require a bigger screen. So I bought a 1040 XS just for the bigger screen. Already miss the touch screen of the 70S as I quickly got used to it. I do not recommend this to my fellow seniors but to the younger crown that still have excellent vision. It would be extremely difficult to find a unit that is capable of so many features.

The above displays are only capable with the GCV 10 box installed. Depending on what you care to view. It can display all 3 views at once.

The above pic is what is capable if the Panoptix transducer is installed. Suggest googling Panoptix on browser to see what all the excite is about. There are two versions the forward scan and the down scan.
If interested PM me here and I will give you phone number. Will demo for interested parties also. The beauty of this system is it will be a long time before it is surpassed performance wise. Since the upgrade path is wide open for software and hardware. Upgrades can be delayed until you want more options. Software wise this unit I am selling has the latest update on it.
