On the water @ 9 AM off @ 2 PM. Water still stained, Water tem. 72*/78* . BP 3.35 with a lite wind and over cast sky. Only used minnows
for bait. The catch for today was a sad case, one you rather not talk about. 2 cat. 1 white bass and 2 crappie when press
down on made the 8"s. My Luck has to get better!:banghead

Were you near the Little Crane bridge? May is usually a decent month for numbers beneath the bridge in the early morning. You would have to pick through them , but they are there.
I talked with a guy Saturday that was slow drifting the main channel in 14-17 fow and keeping his bait around 7 ft. and he said he caught his limit both Friday and Sat.I was like you, catching dinks and small cats from the pier with some small bream. Someone posted a 3lb crappie from Badin using a crank bait fishing for bass a couple days ago.
At least someone is catching some good ones.
I went with in a few yards of the bridge but didn't fish it.
