No, you would need the sonar hub to get chirp on your hds unit. The HDS and elite 7 can share gps data (waypoints) via nema connection tho.
Thank you but let me ask in further detail. It's my understanding the chirp is in the elite unit not a change in the transducer. I was hoping to share only the point 1 gps, standard transducer and map card between the elite and hds unit. Seeing as I already have both transducers for the hds mounted I did not want to add a third transducer for the elite.
The last I knew the elite series did not have ethernet capability. Unless that has changed you cannot share maps or transducers. You can share waypoints on a limited basis over the NMEA network.
