A Perfect Winning Combination

Finally after eight years of field research, trial and error I believe I have finally defined the perfect combination for me to catch crappies. I married my soldered 1/60th oz Pinmin head that has a #6 hook on it with SnakeRiver's one inch Black and Chartreuse tube jig. A drop of loktite holds the combination secure through many casts. I went out to Lake Purdy for about an hour and got some nice crappie with the setup. This setup is very light so the crappie were able to inhale it easily. I fished it under my favorite slip float set up.

Mike on your little spoons have you tried to tie marabou or the tail I've got the ones you sent me I'm thinking about putting some marabou on them. it's a cool idea of putting the skirts on the spoons.

I have tied marabou and flashabou on them at times. Arthur it is (Arthritis) stops me from tying a lot of things. That is how you talked me into soft plastics years ago Bob. I do like the look and reaction of the crappie when combining it with the small chartreuse and black tube you make. Easier to inhale than a 1/16th jig head but just as deadly on them.

I went down this afternoon and tied marabou on your spoons I'm going to try them out this evening. A picture of one with marabou and the other one was saltwater hackle.

Yep. That is what I have done to before arthritis. They look great Bob.
