Favorite Rod and Reel?

What is everyones favorite Rod and Reel for fishing shallow water and deep water?

For me, that would depend on which method I was using.

well I like fishing deep brush piles with minnows and a slip cork, started using a 12' Wally Marshall pro series pole and a small quantum spinning reel, really works well for me.

10' poles for trolling or long lining as well as jigging from a distance. My favorite jigging rod is a 5'6" ultra light spinning rod with 6 lb test.
