Ok finally decided to get a new boat. Picked up a Lowe Roughneck 1752 with 60hp Mercury. Added powerdrive v2 ipilot and 2 hdi7's and a few rod holder's and away we go.
Fish were Hit or miss on Russell Friday although we managed to get 35 or so taking 10 home for a quick meal.
Now to get the boat bow from bouncing when I try to trim the motor.
Now if I can get pictures to upland from my phone
Bounce may be indication you have too much weight loaded forward. Either that or boat is under powered and motor cannot fully lift hull out of water at high speeds. Mine does this, especially when going into wind. Trim tabs may help. I just slow down a little, and save gas! LOLQuote:

Usually bounce in front is from to much weight in rear, or not enough weight in front, or having motor trimmed to high. I have the Lowe 1860 powered with a 60 Merc. it too was porpoising the first time I took it out. On the back of the transom are two trim tabs, take a hammer and bend them down about a half inch or so and try again. Make sure motor is trimmed all the way down to start with. Once on plane, raise more until optimum speed and ride is reached. If still a problem, bend tabs down further.
I'm with the others on this.Id try to trim the motor Down. I think about any boat will do that if the motor is trimmed too high,also it will get on plane faster with the motor trimmed down.
My motor is set up on a jackplate and with the motor trimmed all the way down my boat doesnt porpoise. I can even trim it up a tad IF I also control the speed with the throttle. That's with me in my boat alone. With a passenger up front I have more lee-way about applying more trim to the motor. By trimming I get the same speed with less RPM's ideally.
more weight to the front will allow use of higher trim angle
Thanks inkdabber. I was wondering about bending those down. I will give it a try. I may raise the motor up one hole as well.
