Mines the best ever. Guess it helps to actually have good soil. I have 4-5 bell peppers already on plus my Habs and jalanepos are staring to bloom. The squash/zucchinis have small buds, so they're fixing to bloom. I even have 8-10 Maters, some bigger than golf balls and the pickling cucs are about a foot tall and starting to hit the string I have out to grow up on.
Lookin good. I started my tomatoes from seed and they are about a foot or a little more tall. Staked them yesterday. Going to try a thing called the "Florida weave". Found it on msucares.com. I thought it was some sorta hairdo when I first heard about it. Ha. Tomatoes have blooms formed, but not opened. Cucumber are blooming. Peas and beans about 8" tall. Gotta get them staked! Peppers seem to be growing slow, but maybe they will start after that cold front moved on.
I ran out of gas yesterday for the tiller, got to make a run to Sardis for a few cans.
I ran out of Top Crop pea seeds yesterday, got to make a run to the co-op in Hernando.
Debbie wants to plant 3 different rows of corn, we have white show peg seeds. She wants to plant running green beans with the corn. So get 2 more different corn seeds and rattlesnake green bean seeds while at the co-op.
Need to get a load of cotton hulls before planting tomato and pepper plants. Need to get a load of bamboo before planting tomato and pepper plants.

Very small garden, too old and lazy. 2 hot peppers for Carol, tomatoes, eating cucumbers, peas and okra which is too small to hoe and thin.

Mine's growing out of control...lol... Looks like I've got "Super Squash". the plants are 36" tall and 5' across. Have one straightneck and one crookneck. Dozens of blooms on each plant and little squashes everywhere. I think I planted too many maters way too close together. I dusted them with Sevin yesterday so the pics aren't so pretty, but have 7 plants and the largest is 56" tall this morning and loaded. My biggest mater is about baseball size and lots of smaller ones. My little garden is only 6' X 30'. I have half dozen jalapenos, half dozen bell peppers, about a dozen okra plants with little pods peeking out the tops on all of 'em. Also have 3 hills of cantelopes and some pole beans that have runners almost to the top of my 8 ft. poles. I planted 3 rows of corn, rattlesnake green beans and squash together. The rows are 60 feet long, the first 30 foot is white shoepeg and the other half is yellow trucker. Some of the corn is up about 4 inches this morning. Maybe I can run the tiller down the rows before the rain starts today.
Attachment 203032Attachment 203033I'm a fair piece from Mississippi but thought you might find this interesting. I am trying some container tomatoes and peppers this year. I have back up planting in the ground but seems to be working out so far.Big Mamma roma type, Supersweet 100, Husky cherry red. and a couple bush early girl in another location. The tomato willow stakes were fresh cut a couple weeks ago and seem to be growing also. I'll transplant them along a local lake at season end. lol
