:popcornI have been wanting to know this also. I have some cheap spring type but they won't even move when weighing crappie. I have thought about postal scales but they would be a pain to keep in the boat. I would like some that would be accurate in pounds and ounces between 1 to 5 pound range just in case of that one in a lifetime catch.
I like and use the Accu cull digital scale. Maybe be a little pricey but I've found it to be dead accurate. Amazon.com : Accu-Cull Digital Weigh Scale : Fish Scales : Sports & Outdoors
That's what I'm looking for palerider. I have tried the rapalas and others with no luck. I even looked at the one they use with the major league fishing. But they are out of my price range. Thanks
This one is by far the most accurate scale I have ever seen. There are two versions of it and you want the 15# and not the 50# for crappie.

I bought a luggage scale off ebay years ago. Good price, still works to the oz.
Why weigh em just clean cook an eat. Its simple.
I also would recommend the Rapala. Only use it for panfish. Once you stretch it out, it may not be as accurate. I still prefer a postal with the fish in a bag and covering the eyes if alive.
I use a cotton sack scale. I need it four my whoppers.
