What have you found is best for cleaning water spots on your depth finders?
Windex multi surface cleaner with vinegar and a micro soft cloth.
I just use the same eyeglass cleaner I clean my eyeglasses with....get it at walmart.....use it and a lens cloth
I keep those little alcohol prep pad packets in my boat, they work great and dont take up any room.
Vinegar and water
SteveJ, if the spots won't come off with Windex multi purpose( which Humminbird recommends ) then try this. Dampen a paper towel in white vinegar, lay it over the screen and pat it down where it is touching the screen all over. Let it set about 30 minutes then remove and rinse. Will take hard water spots right off and not harm screen. I have seen a few where it took a couple of applications but rarely.
Just make sure whatever you use does not have any ammonia in it. I'd be scared of alcohol. Guess it'd be safe to rub it with DD's noggin though. Can't be that much of it has leached through.
