Ky Lake

Fished Friday afternoon & Saturday nice weather had 18 Fri. And 24 Sat. Wasn't as fast as I would liked for it to have been but from talking with others was glad to have what we got, did have some nice fish. Caught most on minnows in 10 to 15 fow.

Same here we tried everything
Spider rigged hit some beds fished deep fished shallow
Did get a few The ones we did get were nice
A buddy of mine caught a 16" long white crappie in 5' of water It was a female that only weighed 1lbs10 oz
They said it had a few eggs in it I didn't see what she had been eating I had to go into the garage I couldn't stand watching them cut up a 16" crappie If I had caught it I would have had to go find MRDUX and had that one mounted

Seen an older gentleman at cleaning station only had 2 fish but he said that both where nice so I went and looked in his bucket one ( I didn't way but I'm sure on this guess) was a solid 3 lb and the other wasn't 3 oz behind it I sure hated to see him knife them.

Sometimes food is more important than fame/fortune.

Remember .... D.L Hayes of Leitchfield KY was fishing for food, for his family, when he caught the World Record Smallmouth from the KY side waters of Dale Hollow Lake ... and probably would have eaten it, if it hadn't been for the Cedar Hill Resort owner wanting to get it weighed.

Nice report Chris. Puts you in the top 5 fisherman I know that caught fish this week. I hope it gets a little better sooner than later. Dang I hate using minnows and almost bought some Friday but....

I always planned on mounting a 16. Till my first trip to Ky lake and caught several in one day.

I fished Friday afternoon and all day Saturday and only caught 8 but they all went between 13-15 inches. Fished 2-26 feet. I marked a lot of fish but couldn't get them to bite on minnow or jig. Two beautiful days to be on the water just wish we could have caught more fish
