When the game warden says...

I went to pickwick today and when I got to the ramp there were two game wardens checking folks. The first thing I heard one of them say was "man it's slow...I don't think there's any fish here!" That's never a good sign. rotfl

I guess they'd been there all day and it had been very slow. I launched, and it was indeed slow. I caught two crappie and three catfish. The cats were too small to do anything with so I tossed them back. I was only out for two hours, it was so slow that I left early.

Maybe next time.

what area? i fished yellow creek yesterday for 5 hours. 2 crappie, 3 stripe and a baby catfish

I launched from Mill Creek.

We caught enough for supper...we cleaned 12 like this one, a cat, a few bream, and two bass. We started in yellow creek and didnt do any good there. We picked all our fish on the main lake.

That's awesome cnsdrgrss. I never would've considered hitting the main lake...great job adapting. I need to get better about "listening to the fish" to see what they want.
