All these inches of 65-70* temp rain falling have to be working just as good as sunshine. I think the problem is going to be more about lake level/flooding and color, than temp here for the next week. Supposed to stay warm this week, but have strong storms everyday. Thundering and lightning outside my window as I type this in Corydon right now, fixing to start again.
Here in Avoca too. 20 miles south of Monroe dam
Same thing in Columbus. By the bucketful.
Crap..just checked the hydrographs and now they show East Fork coming up a few more feet. Raining like cats and dogs with tons of lightning/thunder again in northern Martin Co. Will be good for the mushrooms as redbuds are starting to bloom in yards and woods edges. Everything I been checking is pure mud. Weather is showing severe floods and high water thru April 17. Hope they are wrong. Patoka came up 2.88' overnite. Monroe is up 0.3 and rising.
I was chased out of Vincennes with this storm. Poured rain thru Washington into Martin county. Patoka basin was hammered yesterday and now this today and another storm crossing the line coming this way. Thinking about going down to Kentucky lake but fear it will be muddy too plus the weather is not looking much better than what we are having. We have three days of clear weather coming but it is going to be post frontal. Even so, still have to get out there.
