ONE OF THOSE DAYS
Headed out this morning with some light rain and the fish where on fire. I have been playing with a float and fly method and they tore it up. I modified a Sam Heaton 9 footer and got the weight just right on some white & pink marabou jigs so the cork lays sideways and the fish can't stand it jiggling in their face. Had some large fish and one of them had a 5" striper in it's belly. Also caught some white males with their Tux's on. Got to the ramp and a guy had boat trouble so I ended up taking him a few miles down the lake to get his truck. Tried to pay me and we bout got in an argument. Takes all the fun out of helping out. Great day to be on the water.
This was in a 2 lb. crappie.

Sounds like a good day. Hard to believe a crappie can get something that big down but glad to see the pic. I found a 6 lb. bass a few years ago with a live bluegill stuck in its throat. I was able to get it out and watched it swim again. Wasn't able to save the bass though.
The next time you help somebody and they insist on paying you back, tell them to just pay it forward. A lot of people have been doing that the last few years. Would like to have seen a pic of your rig, always loved seeing a float on its side straighten up and take the plunge.

Good day and way to pay it forward.

Pay it forward? help the next? I never looked to get paid for helping a fisherman (or anyone). And I think that is what its about?
